First, they take over the top spots in the internet search engines, even when a specific community’s name is searched. There’s nothing exclusive about the leads they generate because it’s a ‘spray and prey’ method, which means even though the family reached out about YOUR community, 4 or 5 other communities also get notified. Even if you develop a relationship with a family they referred, but the move-in takes place 2 years later, you still get stuck with that expensive referral fee.  And, their contracts are unbreakable.

Good salespeople aren’t hanging around their desk all day, waiting for emails or phone calls, they are doing their good work in the community. However, when a family’s in a crisis, they need help now and it can be hard to win their trust if it takes hours or even days to return their call or email. Families want to trust the community will be responsive if their loved one moves in.

Most communities can totally relate to this video. They tell us it is NOT an exaggeration of the pace of their typical day and the pain points they face.  They are often pulled away from what they do best – showing potential future residents how great their community and current residents are, welcoming new residents as they settle into their community and simply serving as a terrific caregiver.
