In the last 20 years I’ve had the privilege of building software in a variety of industries and been extremely fortunate to learn so much along the way. From business school to enterprise document management software to Big Data analytics in the mobile space, I’ve relied heavily on active listening and intellectual curiosity to quickly grow and improve my understanding of this business. The past three years in the senior living industry is no exception and I definitely still have a lot to learn.

Although it may sound like a pretty generic answer, I really do enjoy spending time with my family. Recently it’s been amazing to see the pure joy that comes with so many firsts for my twins – jumping off the diving board, riding a bike with no training wheels, walking into Kindergarten on their own, reading a book. On a related note, quiet time is something that I’m looking forward to enjoying again someday.
I want to help them understand the different avenues of digital marketing. Most Senior Living communities/brands don’t monitor their website traffic, and for the most part it can be one of the best performing channels with the right tools.
I am the Director of Digital Marketing. I interact with clients on digital strategies to maximize their online presences. I want our clients to feel empowered. Before Digital Marketing, I spent 6 years as a golf professional in Chicago and Kansas City. My merchandising experience helped me to understand the power of the right message at the right time in the digital world. I learned what customers were looking for and I would order apparel and such to appease them. Knowing Mr. Smith liked white polos and he always played at 9am on Tuesday, I’d rearrange the pro shop accordingly to display our white polos. My first year there, I was able to increase pro shop apparel sales by 50%.
