Jeff Davidson is a longtime veteran of SeniorVu, and by veteran, we mean he’s been with the company since the beginning of it all. Before SeniorVu existed, there was SoftVu – a marketing automation platform for the mortgage industry. Jeff started there as a client manager in 2011 then moved over to SeniorVu when it started in 2015, as the Director of Client Services.
Jeff has held an essential role in shaping SeniorVu into what it is today.
His journey with SeniorVu has even led him to Costa Rica, yes, Costa Rica! Click here to learn more about Jeff’s one-month paid sabbatical as a part of his 7-year workiversary.
Flashforward to 2020 and Jeff’s mix of creativity, strategic planning and client mindset have all converged into his current role as Vice President of Platform Services.
Jeff is the go-to guy for all of the ins and outs of the SeniorVu platform. He provides clients and prospects with solutions to all of their lead management and applicant management needs.
In this conversation with Jeff, we learn more about his commitment to customer satisfaction as well as finding balance in his life.
What does it look like to deliver value to clients that is above and beyond the competition?
We deliver value in a few unique ways. First is by providing the client with assurance that every lead, no matter how it was generated, will get a great first experience with the community through our contact center. Whether the lead is from an inbound phone call, website inquiry, live chat lead or professional referral, our team is set up to reach out to these leads quickly and professionally. This frees up the community sales teams to focus on building relationships with families in their sales pipeline.
Second is our ability to customize the interaction between the lead, our team and the community sales team. Every community/operator manages their sales processes a little differently, and we know that there’s no “one-size fits all” approach to solve the various challenges community sales and marketing teams face. By being able to customize our workflows and family interactions, we’re able to help our client communities realize value much faster without having to completely up-end their sales and marketing philosophies.
What do you think is one of the smartest decisions communities can make right now to improve occupancy?
With vaccines flowing through distribution channels right now to senior living communities, the best thing communities can do is to execute coordinated outreach campaigns to educate old/cold leads, new leads and prospects on the benefits and value that their community can provide to a family. Residents and staff in senior living are going to receive the vaccine long before the general public. It’s real advantage to join the community to receive the vaccine.
Why did you choose to work for SeniorVu and why do you continue to work for SeniorVu?
I made the decision to work for SeniorVu while it was still in the ideation phase back in 2015. I saw how much opportunity there was to not only provide value to clients, but to positively impact the lives of both the community teams and the families faced with the decision of how to best care for their aging loved ones. That combination of opportunity and real positive impact continues to motivate me today.
With 3 kids under the age of 5, how do you balance work and home life?!
It certainly isn’t easy, but waking up at 5am every morning really helps me get a jump on the day before the craziness of getting three kids off to preschool every morning! It really comes down to living the SeniorVu motto, “Work to Live and Live to Serve the Greater Good!” I love my work at SeniorVu. I love our family life, and that early morning start time gives me that extra moment to align my day.
